About Stidham Custom Leather
Born and raised in Georgetown, Texas Seth Stidham is a fourth generation maker & shop owner. His great grandfather, William Pearson Hoffman Jr. aka Pop owned a ready-to-wear dry goods store in Georgetown called Stromberg-Hoffman & Company. It was later run by his grandfather under the name Hoffman & Sons. These shops were dedicated to quality goods, highlighting craftsmanship & the authenticity of American made goods.
As a young boy, Seth received his first set of leather tools from an estate sale that his mother was producing. He enjoyed drawing and tinkering with the tools, but it wasn't until after attending Hill College and pursuing a path in the rodeo industry, Seth began tooling and making leather goods full time.
In 2014, Seth & his wife Jasmin opened a brick and mortar in Johnson City, Texas. The store includes home goods, gifts and apparel and Seth also maintains a workshop within the store where visitors can stop in for a glimpse of an age-old, unhurried craft.
Today you can find leather goods built by Seth on our website or offered in our store in Johnson City, Texas. We’ve had the pleasure of building leather goods for foreign dignitaries, rodeo cowboys, politicians, proud stock show winners and weathered ranchers.
However, after 6 years of making custom leather goods, Seth is shifting his focus to saddle construction and building stock inventory for the store. At this time he is not taking on custom orders.
Please note, as a Craftsman we do not “monogram or add initials” to leather, nor do we take on repairs.
